Apple to open its first retail store in India in 2021, online store this year: Tim Cook

Rumors about Apple’s own retail outlet in India has been surfacing for quite some time now.

Yesterday at its annual shareholders meeting at Steve Jobs Theater Apple CEO Tim Cook has confirmed that Apple will open its first retail store in India in 2021. He said that the company had to seek special approval for this because the Indian government wanted it to work with a partner. “We wouldn’t be a very good partner in retail. We like to do things our way,” he said.

He also said that Apple will start selling its products on its online store starting this year. The company is currently selling its products online on Flipkart, Amazon.in, Paytm Mall, and offline through third-party brand-authorized retailers.

Apple MacBook Pro (15-inch, Previous Model, 16GB RAM, 512GB Storage, 2.2GHz Intel Core i7)

A report from last year said that Apple has chosen Mumbai’s Maker Maximity Mall in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) as the venue for its first own India outlet and added that Apple has leased around 20,000-25,000 sq ft space for its outlet and is spread over three floors in the Maker Maximity Mall. It is said to be the largest Apple Store in India and will be three times the size of Apple Flagship Premium Reseller’s 8000 sq.ft outlet in Mumbai which opened in August 2019.

Apple is said to be planning to open 2-3 retail offline retail stores in India in the next few years.

OnePlus 8 Pro poses for the camera

OnePlus7/7TPro

Last October we got our first look at the OnePlus 8 Pro through leaked CAD renders and now a live image of the smartphone has surfaced.

This picture, showing the back of the OnePlus 8 Pro, doesn’t reveal anything new but corroborates previous leaks. You can see there are three cameras aligned vertically in the center, with a 3D ToF unit placed on the left side and the flash right below.

We’ve also seen renders of the vanilla 8, which looks similar to the Pro version but skips the 3D ToF module, has a smaller earpiece and a thinner top bezel.

OnePlus has a Lite variant as well, but it has a different design and comes with a dual camera setup on the back.

OnePlus is rumored to announce the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro in March or April and the Lite variant will likely tag along.

Redmi Note 9 Specifications, Release Date, Price, Leaks: All you need to Know

Owned by Chinese OEM, Redmi is a sub-brand that devotes solely to manufacture some of the stunning mid-rangers and budget centric devices out there. After continuously conquering the tag of the No.1 Smartphone brand in India, Redmi is still thriving to come up with awesome innovations and amazing devices with every passing day. Well, that’s Redmi for you.

The Redmi Note series smartphones are the most loved among users. The Note series devices provide an extremely amusing value for money and offer specs that are on par with most of the devices of the same price point. The Redmi Note 8 is not to forget, an amazing smartphone offered by Redmi. Yet, here again, Redmi is all set to launch the ninth iteration to the Note series devices, The Redmi Note 9.

The Redmi Note 8 comes with a 6.3 inch 1080p IPS LCD screen and boasts a 48 MP camera as one of its sensors on its quad-camera setup. The device sports a massive 4000 mAh battery which can power it throughout the day with sufficient ease.

Redmi Note 9 Specifications

The Redmi Note 9 is expected to have a 6.4-inch display. The device features an FHD+ IPS LCD screen. The Note 9 is going to house the relatively outdated Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset. There is no upgrade in the camera department, which is a major setback for many of us. The Redmi Note 9 houses the same rear camera setup with a 48 MP sensor being the primary camera as seen in its predecessor, the Redmi Note 8. The front camera remains the same 13 MP as well. The device does not support 5G.

Redmi_Note_8_Sale_Amazon

Well, looks like Redmi got a slight update for the battery by increasing it to 4100 mAh. This seriously is not at all any major upgrade. The device will be having support for Fast Charge. The Redmi Note 9  is supposed to come with Android 9 Pie out of the box which is a total disappointment. It is strange how Redmi still decided not to have Android 10 on its latest to-be-launched smartphone.

APPLE TO LAUNCH THE SUCCESSOR OF ITS LOW-PRICED IPHONE SE ON MARCH 31

Apple MacBook Pro (15-inch, Previous Model, 16GB RAM, 512GB Storage, 2.2GHz Intel Core i7)

The Cupertino-based tech giant, Apple is set to launch its new, low-cost phones. The latest report suggests that Apple is considering launching the successor to the low-cost iPhone SE.

It is unclear whether Apple will name this phone as the iPhone SE 2 or iPhone 9. The company will reveal the device on March 31. The speculated features and specification of the device have surfaced on the internet. The smartphone is likely to come with the same A13 CPU as the iPhone 11, along with 3G of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of storage option.

Apart from this, iPhone SE 2 photos and videos also showcase that the smartphone might carry iPhone 8-like design with a single primary camera. Apple might pack the device with an advanced single-lens camera to deliver better picture output. The quality of photographs will be much better than iPhone 8.

On the design front, iPhone SE 2 will be slightly thicker than the 2017 iPhone 8. The smartphone will have slightly thick bezels, and the Touch ID button. The new phone will boast 7.8mm of width instead of the 7.3mm. The new smartphone will retain the same 4.7-inch IPS LCD Retina display.

Considering the features, looks and design, the iPhone SE 2 might seem dated. Some of these features are already available in Apple’s older released models. But the performance will get a significant boost. The launch is likely to happen in March.

The budget iPhone will be launched along with a new 13-inch MacBook Air, and new tracker gadget that will help people find missing objects. iPhone is expected to cost roughly around $399, (approx Rs 28,500).
